Bandit has completed his two week layover! He's on to his next chapter at Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR) where he is available for adoption. Just like his namesake from Smokey and the Bandit, he's fine-tuning his manners and getting ready for the ultimate road trip to his forever home.
· Student Driver - Bandit's still learning the rules of the road-things like "four on the floor" when meeting new people and not gunning it when treats are in play. He's got the acceleration of a high-powered Trans Am while we've been enforcing the speed limit.
·Crate-trained and potty pro - He's great about parking it in the crate (verbal cue "in your crate" works well). All pit stops are outdoors thanks to previous potty training. House manners? Maybe call it a learner's permit, steadily working toward full privileges.
·Leash walking - High-speed chases are fun in movies, less so on a casual stroll. Thanks to a Freedom Harness, Bandit's learning to cruise at a respectable pace, trading burnout starts for easygoing laps around the block.
·Affection Level - He's got a knack for sticking by his people, preferably draped across their legs. Snuggles, leans, and flops onto your lap come with the territory.
·Dog social - Bandit held his own in playgroups at ACCT - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ydWjcsw8MQ. If you already have a canine at home, Bandit would love to have a meet 'n greet. Although if they're anything like Jerry Reeds's Bassett Hound, Bandit may do donuts around them.??
With his Southern charm and a personality that fills the whole car, Bandit's ready for a lifetime of adventures. After spending two weeks together, we know this sweet guy is packed full of potential to be your devoted sidekick and unconditional best friend for life.
