Jenga came from a truly heartbreaking situation-a home with too many dogs, where none of them were treated with the care or kindness they deserved. It was a place of neglect and fear, not safety or love.
Despite everything she's been through, Jenga is starting to open up. Each day, she's learning that not all people are cruel, that a gentle voice and a soft hand can mean comfort. She thrives on walks where she's learning to sniff and takes treats gently. There's a quiet strength in her, and a longing to trust and belong. She is not a dog who has known much joy-yet. But she's ready to try.
Jenga will thrive in a patient, calm home with someone who understands that healing takes time. She may never be the boldest dog in the room, but she will be one of the most rewarding companions for someone willing to help her continue this journey. She does well with other dogs who are playful but more the run/chase type vs the rough and rowdy type. She would do best in a home with adults or older kids (12+) who can understand and respect her handling sensitivities and give her time to adjust, trust and open up!
