With her pleading golden eyes, Lizzie looks at you longingly, wondering if perhaps you might be the one to take her home. She doesn't understand why a girl who has so much to offer has to spend her days in a kennel run. She shows so much gratitude to any volunteer who shows her the slightest bit of attention or affection. When you come to take her out, she wags her tail furiously & waits politely while you leash her up. She walks nicely on a leash & is housebroken. She loves long walks with you & seems curious about other dogs. And she is gentle...oh so sweet & gentle...when you pat her & talk to her nicely. Lizzie will chase a ball in the fenced yard just to please you, but she will choose affection over exercise any day. For that reason, Lizzie needs to shed a few pounds, but the kennel staff is working on her diet. Because Lizzie is laid back, quiet, easy going, & gentle, she would fit into the lifestyles of many kinds of adopters: young or older, children or no children, single home or townhouse, fenced yard or leash walk. But no matter what kind of adopter meets Lizzie, one thing is guaranteed: you will NEVER meet a kinder, sweeter, or more gentle dog!
