Monica is a 5-month-old, 12-pound spayed female with a heart full of love and a gentle, curious spirit. She's affectionate, playful, and a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she'll happily curl up in your lap or snooze at the other end of the couch. She's not a velcro dog, but she's deeply loyal and loves being near her people.

Likes: Giving kisses, snuggling, sitting in laps, belly rubs, men & women, older children, dogs, stuffed toys, stuffless toys, chew toys, sleeping in your bed.
Unknown: Cats, fireworks.
Dislikes: Vet's office, vacuums, being crated.
Manners: Partially housebroken, leash trained, verbal commands (sit, come-working on the rest).
Yard Requirements: Fenced yard preferred, as she loves being outside, and uses a doggy door.

Monica came from a breeder surrender and is still learning about the world. She's sensitive to hands coming from above and has a quirky dislike of being petted right before or after meals.
This smart little pup has mastered the doggy door, responds to "sit" and "come," and is motivated by cheese (who isn't?). She's partially housebroken, leash trained, and learning fast. Monica sleeps through the night in a cozy enclosure and patiently waits for her foster's "okay" before starting her day. She's doing fantastic and would be easy to continue training.
Monica enjoys belly rubs, snuggling, and playing with all kinds of toys. She's social with other dogs and would do well as either an only dog or with a canine companion. She's been highly socialized and even did great on outings downtown. She's okay being picked up, though it's not her favorite, and she prefers gentle petting when she's relaxed.
