Introducing Amos,
A dog with spunk, energy, and smarts! Amos is a dog who loves food and treats, making him easy to train! He's been working with a few different staff and volunteer members and has made a bunch of progress on his leash manners! Although he can still be jumpy, and at 51lbs, doesn't realize not everyone appreciates his "Hugs"! Once you've become friends with Amos, he's a giant baby who wants endless attention. He DOES take a moment to warm up to strangers (He's a corso mix, a guardian breed!) and will need someone to continue his socialization!
Here at the shelter, he has met a female dog and done "Well" with her- he does NOT understand dog corrections and will need a handler to enforce dog social boundaries! As for kitties, we think he'd be respectful of them and willing to live with them, too! Due to his stranger danger, he is looking for a home with children over the age of 16 years.
Interested in Amos? Swing on down to KVHS with the whole family (Including future dog siblings) To meet with him!
