You know Dasher and Dancer, but do you know Prancer?

No? Well, Prancer the green-eyed feline has plenty to tell you! Prancer arrived in our care a few years ago, but has been skeptical of people. She's made a lot of progress since arriving, but it's baby steps to get her more comfortable with people.

ABOUT PRANCER:
-In foster
-Prancer loves to play--whether it's by herself batting a ball around the room or with a human controlling a wand, she'll give it her all to catch those elusive little toys.
-She loves to lounge on the couch during the day, and has even occasionally shared the bed with her foster (as long as there's space between each other)!
-Prancer is an avid fan of cat TV; she will patiently wait by the screen for the birds to come on so she can roll around and watch them.
-Prancer is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.
-Some skittish cats may remain reserved, while others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways.
-With the help of a foster family, Prancer is on a journey to adapt to a new environment and become more comfortable around people.
-With people Prancer knows (especially if they have a treat to offer), she has started to accept pets by hand. And, with complete strangers, Prancer will allow them to get close to her as long as they don't try to touch her.
- Prancer has diabetes mellitus, and is on a special diet with a daily oral medication, which is easily added to her food.
-Prancer is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.

PRANCER'S IDEAL HOME:
-A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.
-Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Prancer settle into her new environment. If needed, EHS will offer post-adoption support to assist Prancer with a successful transition to her forever home.
-Prancer would be happiest in a home where she can do her own thing, and her adopters do their own thing. As long as there is feeding and play time, she is happy.

Do you need a cat for your sleigh--sorry--home? Prancer can guide you to the adoption application tonight!
