Marigold has revealed her flowery spirit, just in time for spring!
Marigold was found living on the street while pregnant and was taken in by her rescuer. During her time there, she started to get comfortable with humans and even made a feline friend. It's been a slow adjustment for Marigold, but we are hoping she will open up into a gorgeous blossom when spring arrives!
This pretty bud is a shy girl who keeps her distance and enjoys lounging around. Marigold has let some people pet her, but it requires a slow approach. While living with her rescuer, she didn't mind eating out of their hand and even licked their fingers if there were remnants of food. It's safe to say she is becoming comfortable with humans, but has yet to completely trust them. Marigold is still exploring her comfort level and needs a loving family who will be patient while she acclimates to her new environment. After all, flowers need tending when put in new soil! Despite her timid nature, this little flower likes playing with string toys and showing off her playful side. Engaging her in play will be a great way to help her flourish!
Given her history on the street it's likely that Marigold does not have experience living with humans, so a quiet home without small children or other pets would be best. However, she appears to enjoy the company of other cats. When Marigold was first rescued, she enjoyed spending time with her feline roommate and having a familiar friend helped her adjust to her temporary home.

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.
