Two years ago Aubree was set to be euthanized around the holidays. The shelter was packed, no one was wanting to adopt a scared, un-trusting of humans, black pitbull who had a fear of cars, hand touches and leashes. HARTT came across her picture on facebook and immediately stopped and said, we are going to go get her. She was pulled and saved! Aubree had an amazing foster while she was waiting for her forever home. We were thrilled and Aubree was thriving in her foster and eventually adopted. Unfortunately, Aubree had to be returned and after evaluating her, we noticed something was off. She was depressed, not acting like her self. We did some blood work and found out she has hypothyroidism, manageable with medication she takes twice a day and a different, simple diet. She is now thriving and doing well, going for walks in the morning, meeting new people and playing with toys again. Aubree would do best in a calm house hold who will help continue to build her confidence and shower her with love. Aubree is spayed, vaccinated, chipped, and comes with a bunch of new home goodies for her future home. If you would like to meet Aubree, please fill out an application on our website at www.azhartt.org/services/adoptions
