Cameo is a cutie!
Did you know that a cameo is a small acting role, usually in a movie, performed by a well-known celebrity? Our Cameo appeared on the EHS screen one winter day, with four healthy kittens in tow. She has finished performing her maternal duties and now she is ready to find her forever home.
This young tortie is still very much a rambunctious kitten herself and loves to play. Cameo will amuse herself with mouse toys and chasing the laser pointer, and she regularly gets the zoomies and bolts all over the house. After all that activity, she will snuggle up and sleep with her housemate or relax by the windows enjoying "Cat TV." Cameo's foster parent would like you to know that "she really is the sweetest girl."
Her foster reports that Cameo has made amazing progress. She is now very comfortable around her foster and in all parts of their home, although she still gets startled by loud noises and quick movements. Cameo loves hand pets and has an amazing elevator butt when receiving scratches. She will often wind herself arounds her foster's legs and give quiet little meows, asking for affection. It's an impressive change, since she preferred to avoid humans when she was first brought inside. Cameo will crawl into a lap, but she is still somewhat unsure about being picked up. However, Cameo has always been gentle, and she clearly just needed some time to warm up to a new environment full of new people. Now she can't seem to get enough attention!
Cameo is looking for a home where her adopters will have plenty of time for playtime and pets, and where her timid side will be appreciated. Cameo can be adopted on her own, without a feline companion. She could also do well in a home with another cat that is equally as energetic as she is. Cameo may be suitable for a home with a well-behaved dog or respectful children.

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.
