Miss Mew is a sweet senior girl looking for a forever home to spend her golden years. At 17 years old, she's friendly, calm, and loves gentle attention - she'll even meow when you touch her, as if to say hello. Don't worry - she may sound like she's screaming, but that's just her meow! While she no longer plays, Miss Mew is still agile and has no trouble jumping onto the couch or climbing stairs. Zoomies are behind her now, but she enjoys quietly following her person from room to room. She might sound like she's complaining when you pick her up, but scratch her head while holding her, and she'll start purring right away. Her favourite pastimes? Napping, lounging in her cat condo or bed, getting head scratches, following people around, and watching the world go by. Miss Mew isn't especially food-motivated, but she does drink plenty of water due to her hyperthyroidism. She requires oral medication twice a day, but it's a liquid that's easily administered - just a quick squirt into her mouth, and she swallows it with no fuss. Miss Mew is good with kids, but a home with no other cats is a must.
Miss Mew has been deeply loved her entire life. She was found as a young mother with kittens; once the kittens were adopted, her finder kept her and cared for her for 16 wonderful years. Recently, however, her owner fell on hard times and could no longer remain in his home. Despite living out of his car, he used his last resources to board Miss Mew at PetSmart and ensure she had her medication. He visited her every day, walking her down the aisles after the store closed, until he could no longer afford to care for her. With a heavy heart, he made the loving decision to surrender Miss Mew, knowing she deserved stability and comfort. Before parting, they took one final drive around their neighbourhood and captured a few last photos together. Miss Mew comes with a USB stick filled with photos from their 16+ years of life together.
Miss Mew is now hoping to find someone to love her as much as she has been loved. She would make the perfect companion for a senior or a quiet family looking for a calm, gentle, and affectionate cat to share their days with.
