If you've been scrolling for your perfect cat match, there's no way you've missed Pitanga - look at those whiskers! This stunning two-year-old tuxedo girl wears them loud and proud, and her flowing coat is just as fabulous. Pitanga is incredibly friendly and affectionate, especially if you're nearby with a brush in hand - she loves being brushed and pet. She LOVES playtime, especially with interactive toys like wand toys, and she can chase around with you. Pitanga wants to be near her people as much as possible. She's not a fan of being picked up, but she's happy to sprawl out nearby while you relax, work, or watch TV. And yes - watching TV is her favourite thing to do! You'll often find her on the back of the couch or stretched out on the armrest, keeping you company with the added bonus of not covering your lap in fur. If you work from home, Pitanga is the perfect co-worker and will keep your feet warm as she naps beneath your desk. She doesn't like being alone and will call out if she can't find you. While we're not sure how she is with other cats (the resident cat in her foster home isn't a fan of other cats), she may do well with a calm, friendly cat after a proper introduction. She'd also be perfectly content as an only cat in a home where someone is around often to keep her company.
Pitanga came to us as an owner surrender, along with her kittens. She was a wonderful mom, and now it's her turn to be spoiled in her forever home at last.
Pitanga is sweet, social, and friendly. She's ready to settle in where her whiskers can be admired, her coat can be pampered, and she can curl up for endless TV marathons with her favourite human nearby.
As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first come, first served.
