Are you looking for a cat companion and a built-in kitten-sitter? Meet Travis! Travis is a quiet, friendly one-year-old with a very important job: looking after kittens. In his current role as head kitten-sitter in the adoption centre, the volunteers and kittens call him "Uncle Travie." He's gentle, patient, and loves to play - the kind of cat who'll keep your kitten busy with wand toys, ball toys, lasers, and anything else that moves. When playtime is over, Travis is the first to curl up for a nap and make sure everyone else is cozy too, because he loves lounging as much as playing. While he may be a little shy with humans at first, he comes out of his shell quickly, especially when he has cat friends around. Travis is more than happy to work for cat-minimum wage and will accept belly rubs and treats as payment for his services. Travis would do best in a calm home with older children or teens, and MUST have a friendly young cat or kitten in his new home.
Travis originally came to us as a stray and was scheduled for TNR. He was too friendly and young to be put back outside, so he went to a foster home to begin his training. He made great progress in his socialization journey with the adult cats in his foster home. But, with his career stalling, he accepted the position in the adoption centre.
Travis is doing an amazing job in his current role. However, as it is only a part-time gig, he is now ready to advance his career by securing a full-time permanent position in his forever home at last. Only suitable applicants will be contacted for an interview with Travis.
