Hello, my name is Duke and I am SO thankful to be here at the shelter! I know you are shocked to hear that, but this is way better than my previous situation. Prior to getting to the shelter, I lived on a log chain that was only long enough to reach my dog house, food, and water. I say food and not food bowl because I didn't have the luxury of a bowl in the front yard. My food was thrown on the ground to get wet from rain, dew, or whatever other weather conditions may occur. My owner realized after years of these living conditions, that I deserved better and that is how I landed my freedom ride to the humane society. Since being here, I have learned that I love hash browns and will sit patiently until directed to softly take the treat from my friend! It may take me some time to learn what it is like living inside a home with humans who love me, but I assure you, I am worth the time and training! I am looking for a fresh start to life and I so hope that is with you! If you would be interested in me, check in with the girls up front and they will sign my new, great life away to you!
