Hello! My name is Wayne, and I am a 8 month old, 41 pound, tan, terrier mix. I was found with my brother, Garth, but we don't have to be adopted together. I am pretty much full grown in height, but will probably weigh around 60 pounds fully grown. I like other dogs, and would be happy in a home with another dog to befriend. I probably would be okay with well behaved kids or a cat, as long as they can give me time to warm up. I am very treat motivated and could use a home that helps me come out of my shell with treats! YUM! When my brother and I were first brought to Second Chance, we were so scared we wouldn't walk on a leash, but now we are starting to walk well on our harnesses. Both of us, would do best in a home that could be patient. Stop by to meet me, you won't regret it!
ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
