Meet Howl Holloman, our very special HHS dog! Howl spent years without much socialization before he found himself at one of our neighboring shelters. He spent quite a bit of time there but wasn't coming out of his shell, so a very special volunteer brought him home and allowed him to just live his life. Howl didn't want to be inside, so he spent his days outside in his comfort zone hanging out with the chickens, goats, dogs, and cats. Unfortunately, when Howl's special friend passed away this past year, he could no longer stay where he was.
HHS has a special way with these under-socialized dogs, so we agreed to transfer him to Williamsburg to see how we could help. Howl's progress was slow, but he's really starting to spread his wings and build that confidence to help him become comfortable in new environments.
Howl would do best in a home with another confident dog to help teach him the ropes.
