Hey there! I'm Julie! I am a 3 month old, female, chihuahua mix. I am currently 8 pounds but I am expected to be 10-15 pounds fully grown. I am very energetic and love to play with and chase my toys. I absolutely love tug of war, I could play that game for hours! After a good amount of play time, I might cuddle with you on the couch, if I feel you've earned my affection. I can be shy and timid with strangers at first but I warm up after some time. Like more puppies, I am still learning my manners and have a tendency to nip. I get along well with other dogs and would probably make a great playmate. Come by the shelter to check me out!
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet. ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $250 for puppies under 6 months of age and $200 for dogs older than 6 months. $150 for kittens under 6 months of age and $125 for cats older than 6 months.
