Hello! I'm Barkley! I am a male, 1 year old, 10 pound Chihuahua. I am a very sweet and friendly boy. I am a bit shy and do require some time to warm up to people. However, once I warm up to you, I will be giving you tons of kisses! I am affectionate and cuddly with my people and would be great for a family looking for a lap dog. I'm not a big fan of puppies but would do well with another calm dog, same goes for children. Feel free to come check me out.
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet. ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $250 for puppies under 6 months of age and $200 for dogs older than 6 months. $150 for kittens under 6 months of age and $125 for cats older than 6 months.
