Hi, I'm Verne! I am a 6 month, 6 pound, golden, male chihuahua. I can be pretty shy and take a while to warm up to people. If you are patient with me and give me some time, I'll be showering you with kisses in no time. I really love other dogs and need a home with another confident dog to play with me and show me how great humans are. I get started by fast movement and loud noises so I would be best in a home without young kids. Will you please come spend some time with me?
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet. ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $250 for puppies under 6 months of age and $200 for dogs older than 6 months. $150 for kittens under 6 months of age and $125 for cats older than 6 months.
