Hello there! My name is Calypso, meaning she who hides, as I can be very shy upon first meeting someone. I am a 2 year old, black, medium-haired cat. I need a family that will give me time and patience, as I take a while to warm up to people. I am a sweet, gentle, love bug. I love pets and brushes, but might be hesitant to ask for them. I would be best in a quiet, laid back household without energetic dogs or young kids. Please come give me a chance to steal your heart.
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet. ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $250 for puppies under 6 months of age and $200 for dogs older than 6 months. $150 for kittens under 6 months of age and $125 for cats older than 6 months.
