Hey there! My name is Carrot Cake, I am a 1 year old, male heeler and weigh about 37 pounds. I can be pretty shy at first but if you promise to be nice, I'll come sit on your lap. I am a very clingy dog, I want to spend all day right next to my people. My favorite place to hang out is in between my human's legs. I love pets and giving kisses. I do really well with other dogs and would love to have a playmate!! I would be best in a quiet home that would give me time to come out of my shell. Please make an appointment to meet me!
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet. ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $250 for puppies under 6 months of age and $200 for dogs older than 6 months. $150 for kittens under 6 months of age and $125 for cats older than 6 months.
