Sydney is 110 lbs of insecure, shy and squishy goodness. She came to MM after having a litter of pups when she was no more than a baby herself. Her experience of the world was nil, but with the guidance of her experienced foster mom she has slowly gained confidence. She is great with other dogs and in fact her ideal home will have another a dog to show her the ropes. A calm, well balanced canine who can serve as her emotional support dog and help Sydney feel secure in her new world and also be her best playmate. Syd is good in the car and on leash, loves to play, will likely hog the couch at the end of the day or snuggle up alongside (on top) of you.
This big beauty is a commitment, a work in progress. Her person will need to be prepared to help guide her through changes positively and introduce her to new things at a pace that will help build her confidence. Sydney's lack of confidence is displayed with a shy and gentle cautiousness; she has not displayed any type of aggression while in our care. It should be noted that she does not do well left alone for extended periods. She can be destructive and has mastered her Houdini skills outsmarting her foster parents on more than one occasion.
