After being one of our longest residents, Oliver recently went into a temporary foster home with one of our amazing volunteers-and WOW. We always knew he was a good boy, but now we're seeing just how incredible he really is!!
Oliver is totally house-trained (holds it all night and while you're at work), crate-trained, and doesn't get into anything he shouldn't. He loves a good hike or jog-he can easily handle a couple of miles-but he's just as happy curled up on the couch!
He's open to meeting dog friends, does well with respectful kids (think 5-8+), and has very strong food opinions. JIF peanut butter? Yes. Anything else? Absolutely not. He'll take jerky treats, old-school Milk Bones (no gravy, please), and pate-style wet food (chunks are gross).
He's not a fan of school buses, trash trucks, squirrels, or blueberries. And while cats are a no, he might be neutral-or just confused-about groundhog.
Thunderstorms are scary, and he'll want to be held. Squeaky toys make him happy. Honestly, he's just an all-around great guy who's finally getting his chance-and we'd love nothing more than to see him home for good!
Please stop by 11-5pm for walk-in visits (no appointment necessary) or you can complete an application online at www.mlar.org/adopt-application
