Meet Melon, a handsome and loving 1 year old cat ready to find a new home. He came to us as a stray two months ago. He was not in the best shape and was not a happy camper to be here. He was very thin so it was no surprise he had some food aggression when he arrived. He was also quite matted that some of his matts had already pulled away from his skin leaving behind some open wounds. He is pretty bald in some spots and the rest of his long hair had to be shaved. It will eventually grow back but it will take some time. Melon has learned some manners and doesn't get too wound up when its time to be fed anymore. He is an easy going boy but at times he does get a little nervous when first being approached in his cage. He loves to roam freely in the cat room or the playroom and will play. He is not happy to have to go back to his cage so he is more than ready to find a loving home. He would do best in a home with older kids. He seems unfazed seeing the other animals but he has not yet interacted with other animals outside of his cage. His adoption fee is $140 and includes all his vaccines, registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, FIV/FeLV test, current on his flea/heartworm preventative, and neuter.
