Hi, my name is Lyra. At 5 weeks old, I was rescued from a shelter where me and my 7 siblings were at risk of being put down due to the shelter being out of space. I am a very sweet and playful girl and I love to go on walks and burn energy! I need an active family with people who will work with me and take me out of the shelter environment so I can see what it is like to be in a home. I love to play with my siblings, with toys, and I love to play in the water, especially my water bowl. I haven't met many other dogs during my time at this shelter because I usually hang out and play with my siblings since the few of us are still here. I would love to finally get out of this shelter and see what it is like to be in a home, with people who love me. Since I have never been in a home, and have been in a shelter my entire life, I will need a lot of work and training. I have never been around cats, so I will most likely need some time to get to know them. I see them on occasion and I haven't quite figured them out yet. I am very obnoxious in my kennel, but when I am out of my kennel, 1 on 1, I am very different! Much quieter and more interested in getting to know you.
