Chilly Snowman is a young pit mix who loves to be the center of attention. He is a very sweet pup whom no one wants to give a true chance to. Chilly Snowman was born into SAAP May 2022. His mom came to the rescue after being picked up as a stray by one of our partner shelters. Her previous owners requested the shelter euthanize her-luckily that's not a rule and she found herself + 9 babies that came a couple weeks later with SAAP.
Chilly Snowman was adopted at 8 weeks old and recently returned when the family decided they didn't like him/he wasn't turning out to be the best fit with them. He has undergone professional training with Sit means Sit dog training. He knows all his basic commands, is house trained, and crate trained. Chilly's ideal family/home will likely consist of the following: -Adopters that are willing to continue training him. This includes continuing his knowledge of basic commands, perfecting his leash manners, and additional socialization. -A yard to play in or an active family. Chilly is a teenage pup who needs regular exercise and play time to prevent any unwanted behaviors due to boredom. He loves going on walks and being outside with his people. His favorite toys consist of tennis balls and anything that squeaks. -Patience. The most important thing Chilly Snowman needs in his new family is patience. Chilly was not adequately socialized in his former home, so meeting new people can be a bit scary at first. And although he loves other dogs, he was limited on his exposure with them-thus he struggles to focus on play time at first interactions and instead wants to hump the other dogs. In his foster home, the other dogs have successfully corrected this behavior and he does not try to do it to them anymore. However, that was a process that lasted 1-3 days. Chilly Snowman is: -Crate trained -House trained -Good with dogs -Has had no exposure to cats -Good with kids and people. However, he doesn't always realize that he is 80lbs so older kids may be a better fit due to the chance of him knocking them over -Loves to snuggle and get pets
