May has come and gone, but our sweet May is still at the shelter, waiting - again - for a loving home.
She was adopted a few years ago and spent time with a family, but when life changed for her owner, May was returned to us. Arriving hopeful and trusting, she believed someone else would see her gentle soul and cherish her for the special cat she truly is.
But the days have slipped by, then the months, and now it's been over a year since she's been back. And still, she waits.
There's something deeply tender about May. She's soft in every sense - from her beautiful multi-colored fur that invites gentle strokes, to her quiet and patient demeanor, to a heart that continues to hold onto hope and love. She never asks for much: just a peaceful spot to call her own, kind hands to comfort her, and someone to sit beside her, appreciating her for the wonderful companion she is.
Sometimes, we worry that sadness is catching up with her, and that with every day that passes, she feels a little further away from her dream of having a family again. But we see her, and we believe that somewhere out there, someone will see her too.
