Meet our Lucy Goosey. This beautiful, sweet natured, medium-haired calico was found in a neighborhood and we noticed that she had a limp. Her foster mom took her in and she planned on getting her spayed the next day. That night she gave birth to two kittens, even though she didn't look pregnant. The first kitten passed away right after being born. After her surviving kitten, Pumpkin Pie, was old enough, Lucy Goosey was finally able to be taken to the vet for her limp, vaccines and spay. X-Rays show that she had two broken hips and a broken leg. Injuries like this are usually caused by getting hit by a car. Since she was a stray at the time of injury, it is amazing that she survived this painful incident. Due to the fact that it is an old injury, no surgery is recommended at this time. The vet stated that it is very like her first kitten died due to her hip being narrow from her injury and it is astonishing that she and the second kitten survived. She is an excellent mother to Pumpkin Pie. They seem to even have their own language. They both chirp in addition to meowing. Lucy Goosey will always have a limp, and her left leg is turned outward. She will need a quite home, where she can have some small aids, such as a step to get the top of a bed and such. She is used to dogs and other cats in her foster home, but chooses to ignore the dogs. She is available for adoption now.
