Professor A41075227

Intake Reason: Owner surrender 3/18 - reactive behavior.

Medical Observation: Cat has a bottle of gabapentin in its kennel bag. Cat is BAR and has a little cut on its nose. Cat was hesitant at first but warmed up and let me take him out the carrier and scan and give him FVRCP without showing any signs of aggression.

Update 3/21- Senior. Mild MA hinds. Nervous but does little head butts. Missing canines, a few incisors, and some premolars, mild tartar and ging remaining teeth. Assessment: Kitty appears WNL on PE aside from being somewhat overweight and having some dental disease.

Behavior Observation: Has bitten previous owners. Reportedly aggressive to other cats and people.

Personality: Meet Professor! Professor was surrendered for being aggressive towards other animals and people in the home. It has reportedly escalated over a year and a solution could not be found. He was reportedly a very sweet and cuddly lap cat who likes food 90% of the time, but 10% of the time he was reportedly grumpy and territorial. He did not interact with dogs, but was aggressive with the cat in the home. He was fine the first 2 years, but got worse over the last two. (Started off at batting at other cat, evolved to lunging, scratching, biting, chasing). He was put on gabapentin, but it reportedly did not help.
