***** DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE RECEIVE, WE ARE UNABLE TO RESPOND TO EVERYONE PERSONALLY. WE DO, HOWEVER, REVIEW EVERY APPLICATION AND WILL CONTACT THOSE WHO ARE A GOOD MATCH FOR JAX (OR ANY OTHER DOG). THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

Jax was surrendered when his former owner had to move and could not take him along. He's a very good boy who will need to be THE ONLY PET in his next home. He's both playful and loving and has a lot of spunk for a 10-year old. So much to offer! Please apply for Jax!

Age: 10 years young

Weight: 24 pounds

Health: Very good. Does have cataracts but does not seem to impair him at this point. He has some hearing loss

Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, quiet/mellow, playful, active (at times), couch potato (at times), social, curious

Likes: People (including children 5+), playing tug-o-war, fetch (sometimes), giving kisses and snuggling, being held, sitting in laps, going for walks and car rides, belly rubs, sleeping in your bed, burrowing under blankets, eating treats, chewing antlers and Kongs

Dislikes: Dogs, cats, vacuums

Manners: Housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, knows verbal commands: sit, lay down, roll over, speak, get in your bed/crate

Fenced Yard Required: Yes

Tidbits: Jax is a loving dog who likes to be in your lap, cuddling or following his person around the house. He has a big personality. He is curious and very playful. Jax needs lots of toys. He is obsessed with tennis balls, but also chews on Nylabones and Frisbees. Jax sleeps very well, but also has energy and appreciates going for a walk. He loves to eat and knows how to relax. He is completely potty trained. Jax is crate trained and sleeps in a crate at night. He has never been destructive (but he needs his chew toys) and is great on a leash as long as other dogs are not around.

Jax must be an only dog in his next home. Caution should be taken when walking with Jax as he may not mix well with dogs he encounters in public.

We want Jax to thrive in his next home. The perfect match is out there and Jax is anxious to get settled. If you can meet the requirements above, please apply for this deserving boy.
