Hi SAAP it's Ellie the five year old beagle mix!
I am a nervous girl who is working to develop some confidence. I'm looking for a home that can continue to work on my training, but I'm very smart and really food motivated so it shouldn't be too difficult if you are willing to put forth the effort. Until I become more confident and sure, it's best that I'm the only dog in the house or only go to a home that has experience with dogs like me and can make sure I interact safely. Kids, especially young ones, don't help my confidence so I should also stay away from kids. At home with my foster mom, I love to nap and burrow myself into blankets. I prefer to sleep under the covers of the bed at night. I know a lot of commands and use a prong collar to help reinforce my training. I have the softest fur of any beagle foster mom has had and will give kisses on occasion of the mood strikes me. I don't like the crate but if you leave me at home with a peanut butter kong, I don't mind you leaving so much. I'm not destructive but I will take advantage of any food wrappers left around. I will bark as all beagles do, so an apartment isn't recommended unless you have really understanding neighbors. Anyone who chooses me can continue to get advice on how to continue my training from our dog trainers. Foster mom just asks that you give me updates.
