Not Tom. Not Tommy. Thomas. I'm a handsome two-year-old white and buff guy who was found as a stray and was brought to the Humane Society in St. Paul. They vaccinated and neutered me, and because I wasn't doing well in their shelter, they released me back to the area where I was found. Long story, short, I wound up at Paws and Claws. I did have what some folks might call "behavior issues" - hissing and swatting. Did you know that the name Thomas means, "twin"? Maybe it's my twin who acts like that! I have done much better now that I've adjusted to PCHS, especially since I no longer have to be in a cage! Staff and volunteers say that they've seen a very pawsitive change in me! I have become friends with Reggie and Lucy, and we have a blast playing and wrestling together. I do fine with the other cats too. I no longer swat or hiss at people; I might still nip a bit, but that's out of playfulness rather than out of stress or fear. But, because I've got a history of having a hard time adjusting to changes and also becoming a little testy when over-stimulated, I'd probably do best in a home with adults only or with only older kids. I'd really like to be in a home with another active, confident, and assertive adult cat that I can play with so I will not get bored. I have lots of energy and I will need stimulation and company that another cat can provide. In the past, when I had behavior problems, it was due to boredom and stress. I'm quite happy now that I have friends! If you don't already have a cat, maybe you could adopt Reggie or Lucy (or both)! I also love lounging in a sunny window when I've had enough playing. I can be a really fun guy to have around, without a doubt. Won't you stop in and see if you're the perfect person to belong to terrific Thomas?
