Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.

HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to save her litter when it was discovered they had parvo.

NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME:  Especially due to isolation as a puppy, Tulip requires another large breed, adult male companion- she really relies on and takes cues from her "big" brothers and sisters.

TULIP is almost a year old but still very much a puppy- playful with a lot of energy! She likes to run it off at daycare or playing with her foster siblings- and even then she might still have some energy left when she gets home! Because of this she would benefit from a relatively active household, one where she can go out and walk, jog or hike with you, as she likes to explore.

Tulip knows her training, but like any adolescent, you must enforce the rules with her or she will take a mile ;) She knows sit and wait and she can heel, but her new family will need to continue this education and structure for her, ensuring she will indeed grow into a model citizen!

Tulip is very friendly, but is a tiny bit shy at first. She takes a couple minutes to get to know you but after that she's all fun and games. She has lived with kids, dogs and cats and has been very successful in her foster home.

All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is a volunteer, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo does not have a traditional shelter location, but instead, utilizes private foster homes which care for the animals individually, in a home environment, until a "furever" home is found.

Please check out our website,, especially pages, "Our Philosophy" and "Adoption FAQs" (both under "About Us") for more on adopting with a foster based organization and how our specific process works.

Please email to request an adoption application so we can get you started on the journey to finding a new, furry friend! Once you have been approved, then we can set up a meeting with the animal you have been matched with.

Thank you for considering one of our great, adoptable animals!
