Update from India's foster mom !!!
Maizy and I decided to foster and Ingy (India at the time) came into our lives. Ingy came from somewhere in the south and was found in a parking lot just before giving birth to a huge litter. After her puppies were ready for their forever homes - it was time for some attention slathering and serious spoiling for Ingy. In addition, as she had contracted heart worm, she needed to stay quiet in a foster home during her treatment. The agency told me that she was a black mouth cur but I think that she has a little pitty too. She is about 2, a gorgeous ginger - with madly soulful eyes, a deep thinker, and the biggest love I have ever met in my life. If you know my yellow lab Maizy, you know that she is a sweet, goofy love with a primary focus on food. And she loves me too - but especially when I feed her. Ingy? This girl, from day one, was like butter. She just melts into you wherever you are. Yes - she's a 50# lap dog sometimes. Just as sweet as can be and would take a pet, smile, or kiss over a treat every single time. And she so wants to learn and to please you - just so you love her.She is completely house trained. Good with kids. Likes car rides. LOVES being outside watching the birds, chasing the squirrels, and just rocking it sun goddess mode on the deck. She loves playing with her squeaky toys (doesn't even rip their hearts out). And, although I have found a few shoes, in the back yard that she snuck out - she is not a chewer. She has not chewed one shoe, chair leg, baseboard, etc. ever.
She loves her foster sister Maizy - and it's been so fun watching her learn from her. If Maizy does something, 15 minutes later Ingy does it. And she is so smart, the next day she will remember and try to do it, get there, get it... first. She follows Maizy around and loves climbing into the dog bed with her.
Ingy is going to have her last heart worm test in the next week or so and, sadly, will be ready for adoption. I want to make sure that this awesome girl is placed in an awesome FOREVER home with the right pet parent. A home that can accommodate some specific needs that Ingy has as she figures things out and a parent with time, patience, and love to help Ingy funnel her "passion" in ways that she can live a life that includes all the amazing perks that come with being one of the lucky pups in Winnemac/any neighborhood park. Ingy has made great progress while in my home and is ready to find her forever home. Please contact Wright Way if you are interested in meeting this sweet girl.
