HURRICANE DOG NEEDS FOSTER HOME! Meet Doc! He is an approximately 9 year old Retriever Mix. He is SWEET as can be! Doc definitely needs to put on some more weight (which will be no problem). We think he should be fostered as an only pet as he does like to keep his food all to himself - I mean can you blame him? Look at his before pics! He has ZERO food issues with humans but he'd prefer the canine's to keep to themselves around his food. Doc was probably on his own for a long time to get in the condition he was found in. Doc has been to the vet and has had all his shots. He will be neutered as soon as his weight is acceptable. Doc just needs a comfortable place to lay his head. A bed, a blanket and a loving home is all this guy needs. He needs a foster home where he can lounge and have humans to love him. He will return that love 10 fold. If you want to open you heart and home to a sweet old man dog in need please consider Doc. Applications at

ADOPTION FEE: $300 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
