Wait! It's been HOW LONG and I'm still here? I'm Chewey, and believe me, I'm just as befuddled as you are. When I came to the rescue more than a year ago, I had to rely on a wheelchair to get around but thanks to consistent physical therapy and a legion of supportive humans, I can walk again. I am a medical miracle! Okay, maybe it's a little funny and wobbly (kinda like what happens after one too many margaritas) but I love to zoom, zoom, zoom in my funny little way. I love making people smile and laugh with my big strides towards mobility and even bigger personality! With my new found freedom, I'm enjoying so much more outta life. I love running, rolling around, chewing and tugging on toys, taking baths, hiding in blankets... but I also love snuggling with a good book (I like the pictures) or stretching out in the sunshine (I like the warmth). I guess you could say I'm that super combo of playful and mellow! But you wanna know the direct line to my heart? Treats. I mean, seriously. Big ones, small ones, stinky ones. Gimme, gimme! I'll do almost anything for them, like behave my best and show my manners. I know I need a little help with the basic dog stuff, but I make it plenty easy for people by being so even tempered, patient, and easy to handle (psst - don't tell, but I really love the attention). Also, the humans here have tips to help anyone who is unsure of how to care for me and are even willing to get hands-on to demonstrate how to do it. I've already come sooooo far, thanks to the love of people here. But I know that for the home stretch to my forever home, I'm gonna need the love of someone super special... like you!
