Name: Alabama (knows Nymo)
Nymo (pronounced Nemo) is a 7-year old male schnauzer/terrier who weighs about 19 lbs. He knows basic tricks like sit, down, wait, stay, leave it, shake, spin, scratch (on scratch board for nail trims) and is completely house-trained. We do not crate him but he is great on furniture (sometime he will scratch the couch beforehe sits). He also doesn't shed. Nymo will match your energy - he can hang out and chill with you all day but also can be energetic - loves going on walks, hiking, playing fetch and going on car rides (the longer the better!). He prefers to be left alone but likes to be around his humans (ie in the same room or together on the couch). He doesn't love very many humans but absolutely loves the ones he does. Important Note: Nymo has a history of aggression and bites. Bites have occurred around other humans that he is not familiar with and/or if other humans surprise him and/or if he is being protective towards his humans. He does not like being bothered or touched unless he's very comfortable with the person. He likes to be pet and held and touched on his own terms and will growl if he doesn't like it. He does good with proper introduction to other humans - lots of treats and by giving him his space to approach (introductions are so important. He never forgets how someone treated him initially). He does not like small children, cats or other dogs. For this reason, he would be best living with one person or couple with no children or other pets with low human traffic in the house and someone who would be willing to spend the time and resources to work with him and train him.
