Kiko is a beautiful brindle pit bull mix. He's just short of a year old now and weighs about 50 pounds. He was given up by his former owner when he moved into a new place and Kiko was not allowed in the house. He was confined in a crate in the garage all day every day. We are happy that he reached out for help so Kiko can have the life he deserves. Kiko has since been professionally trained and fully vetted. Here is what Kiko's foster mom says about him - Kiko is a great dog and will make a very loyal companion! He would do best with someone who likes to walk or run as he needs a lot of exercise to stay grounded. He's very strong and very fast! He loves tennis balls and will fetch endlessly! He's potty trained and does well in his crate! He would love to have a young dog to wrestle and play with! He is mission driven to find the squeaker out of every toy! He's a chewer but only with toys and bones. I've found him to leave other things alone He's full of puppy and sometimes gets a little mouthy but I know this is subsiding with consistent training, exercise and affection. For this reason I feel he would do better with older children in the home. He is the best to cuddle and snuggle with on the couch every night! My guess is that he'd LOVE to be in your bed if you'd let him! Right now he is perfectly content to sleep in his crate at night. Kiko is also incredibly athletic and ball driven. We think he would excel at agility or flyball. It's not an adoption requirement but something we think he would enjoy and do very well at. If you are interested in making Kiko a member of your family please fill out an application at
ADOPTION FEE: $300.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
