Elias is a gentle giant whose demeanor fits the best characteristics of the Rottweiler breed: "calm and confident, courageous but not unduly aggressive. The aloof demeanor these world-class guardians present to outsiders belies the playfulness, and downright silliness, that endear Rotties to their loved ones" (American Kennel Club).

Currently in a foster home, his foster family describes him as a relaxing presence who happily snores through the night and is fine being left alone while they work. When together, he is very loyal and prefers to spend all his time lying within 15 feet of them indoors, or better yet the yard! He loves to put his big head on your lap for scratches, but is not pushy in demanding attention or affection.

Elias' idea of the perfect home would be with adults with a yard to roam around in, and prior experience with large-breed dogs. However, we are open to any respectful family and most living arrangements, especially those who are committed to continued training and exercise. (Note: he has been tested with cats and shown no interest or prey drive).

Finally, he also takes medication that controls seizures, which he gladly takes with his meal. We are happy to explain his entire history and condition in more detail if interested. Thanks!
