The staff members here at HSHC say I'm a sweet cat and that I play well with other cats! I've lost some weight since arriving at the shelter. But I know I'd have more of an appetite if I had a home and an owner to love. Wouldn't you like to have a friendly orange and white tabby like me?

Padme is a small, healthy 10.5-year-old, female kitty. She was surrendered to the shelter in October 2017 because she had not been using the litter box consistently. Padme peacefully co-existed with another cat. However, she also lived with a dog, who she feared and would avoid. She lived as both an indoor and an outdoor cat. We feel that these are the reasons she was confused about the litterbox. First, she had to share the box, she did not feel comfortable with the dog in the home and she was allowed to go outside where she could skip a litterbox altogether! I would be confused!

Food was always available, and she was given different kinds of wet and dry food. She did well with kids ages 11 to 18 years old. Padme's owner described her as friendly, shy, a couch potato, playful, and independent. She loved to play with toy mice, purr, and chase string. In the evenings, she sat on her owner's lap and enjoyed being petted.

Do you have a welcoming lap and home for Padme?
