Hi, my name is Bella. I came to this shelter back in 2015 because I was pregnant and my owners couldn't afford to care for me and all of my babies. They made the decision to bring me here to have my puppies, then have me spayed, and I would go back home after my puppies were weaned. Unfortunately, I was left outside of a public shelter, where they scanned me for a microchip and found that my owners no longer wanted me. Thankfully, I had a microchip from this shelter, so the public shelter I was left at called this shelter so I could safely find a forever home. I was in very rough shape when I was left there and needed immediate medical attention. I am now ready for adoption, but I do need an owner that can keep me on my senior diet dog food($70/ month), as well as keep me on my allergy medication (Apoquel $135.90/month), Pain medication (check with staff for cost) to make sure that I do not end up in horrible condition again. The allergies are environmental, so the medication helps me a lot. I am a very sweet, loyal, and loving dog who would love to find a home with people who will let me be a part of the family. I love to sleep under the blankets and sleep close to my people, so I would love to find a family who loves to cuddle. I also enjoy going out on walks and car rides and get along with other dogs pretty well. If you would like to meet with me, please ask staff.
UPDATE 3-7-23: I have been having a hard time walking and the vet found that both of my knees are just bone on bone and I am not a good candidate for double PTLO surgery. So, I am now looking for a forever home to live out the last of my days, happily, with people who love me for however long I may have.
Love,
Bella Boo
