Her name means "queen" in Latin. And because Regina is worshipped by our staff and volunteers, the name seems perfect for her.

Regina is a 13-year-old brown and black tabby with pretty green eyes. She was a bit worse for wear when she arrived as a stray - broken teeth, a missing toe, etc. She had been spayed at some point so we would like to think she had a responsible owner at one time and wasn't on her own for too terribly long. Regina got adopted in 2015, but recently was returned to the HSHC because her owner moved into assisted living and couldn't take her with her.

Regina is as sweet as can be but she tends to be hesitant when first meeting people. She likes her snacks so giving her a nibble or two can help her warm up. She is a quiet kitty and is very observant, watching everything that goes on in the cattery. She has always been an indoor cat and uses her litterbox very well.

You should request an audience with Regina right away. Once you meet her, you'll see what we see - a lovely and intelligent cat with a lot of love to bestow on a very lucky someone. 9/12/18
