I'd like to reintroduce Makita to SAAP nation. She has quite the story to tell. Makita (knows the name Mimi) came to SAAP as a young adult from a hoarding situation. She was adopted and then spent almost a year and half as an only pet in a home with someone who worked long hours and travelled frequently. Makita was returned to SAAP last fall and was understandably stressed when she came to our chaotic home filled with kids, cats and dogs of all ages. It took her quite a while to decompress, but she is now ready to find her purrfect family. She has also spent time with her Aunties Leah and Jennie as we have worked out what we think her ideal forever home will look like. Makita will thrive in a busy home and is happy to co-exist with cats and dogs. She loves attention from humans (ideally adults and older children who can respect her space) and will not do well in a quieter home. She would prefer to come to you on her terms (ie is not thrilled when you pick her up but happily comes up to your lap when you sit next to her). Makita/Mimi is a social, chatty girl who will be your best friend if you share a Churu and some catnip toys with her!!
