? Meet the Legendary Bowie ?
Bowie is just shy of 7 years young, and heartbreakingly, he's spent almost his entire life waiting in the shelter. ?? Since June 2019, he's been our longest-standing resident here at True Friends. He's watched hundreds of kennel neighbors leave for new lives while he's stayed behind, still waiting for his chance.
But through it all, Bowie has never lost his joy. He's the same lovable boy who greets staff and volunteers with his happy smile and signature little tap dance. ??
Bowie's favorites? Tug, fetch ??, cozying up in blankets, leisurely walks ??, and most of all-being with people. The shelter has been his reality for years, but what he truly deserves is a calm, loving home where he can finally relax.

Bowie does have some skin allergies, managed easily with a fish diet and Apoquel. Recently, he also tore his ACL, so what he needs now more than ever is a quiet place to rest and heal-even a foster home could change his life. Who knows? He may just steal your heart and a permanent spot on your couch. ???
After waiting so long, Bowie deserves his happily ever after. He's mellowed with age, trading zoomies for blanket snuggles, and would happily binge-watch Netflix by your side-maybe even with a few table scraps. ??
