?? Meet Django! ??
Django is a 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix, and our hearts break for this sweet boy. ?? He came to us in June 2024, after his owners could no longer care for him due to their health issues. Since then, Django has been waiting for a forever home that can meet his special needs and give him the love and care he truly deserves.
Unfortunately, Django's journey has been filled with disappointment. He's faced multiple adoptions that didn't work out-most recently, he was brought back to the shelter after just two days because he was too scared to go up and down the stairs in his new home. ????
Django is an incredibly loyal, intelligent, athletic, and loving dog, but he does have some special behavioral needs. He's still struggling with puppy-like behaviors like nipping and jumping, and at 70 pounds, those behaviors are a bit harder to handle now. ?? He is stubborn (as many Huskies and Shepherds are!) and needs consistent basic training to help him learn proper manners.
While Django is good with other dogs, he plays rough and would do best in a feline-free home. He doesn't mean any harm, but he doesn't yet understand his own size and strength. ????
Django is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped-he's ready for a home that will help him reach his full potential! ??
