I'm a large Shepherd mix with energy that never quits and a love for everything fun! You want to play? I'm in. Go for a hike? Let's do it. Hang out with dog pals? YES PLEASE. I'm a total social butterfly with a goofy streak and a deep love for treats, toys, and good times.
But hey, let's be real - I've got some quirks. I hate vet visits (like, REALLY hate them), and I get pretty overwhelmed when people try to handle my ears, mouth, or hold me tightly. That kind of stuff makes me feel trapped, and I'll be honest - I'll let you know I'm uncomfortable. I'm not trying to be difficult, I just need help learning that the world (and those weird pokey vet things) aren't out to get me.
I can also get a little guard-y when it comes to my favorite things - food, toys, my prized chews. If another dog or person gets too close while I'm enjoying them, I might give a warning growl to say "this is mine right now, please and thank you." But the good news? I'm super food motivated and eager to learn with someone who's patient and consistent. I'm still young, full of potential, and ready to put in the work if you are.
I'm looking for a home that's not just active and fun, but also understanding - someone who will celebrate my wins, work through my quirks, and advocate for my needs. A home with older kids that understand space would be best. Cats and dogs I would likely do fine with, as long as they don't get up in my personal bubble when I'm chewing on my favourite chew toys or food.
