Hi, I'm Churro - not the sweet pastry, but just as cute (and arguably less sticky).
Let's get this out of the way: I came in as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery. Maybe I was a secret agent. Maybe I was the mayor of a backyard squirrel-watch committee. Who knows? What matters is that I'm here now, ready to find my forever humans!
I've been in foster for a week and my foster says that I am a cuddler through and through! I'm a bit of a velcro dog too. I love to follow my people around the house everywhere they go. Kitchen? Waiting patiently for some treatos. Living room? Lets snuggle up on the couch! Bathroom? Ya...I'll probably follow you in there too.
What does get my tail wagging? Sniffing. Oh, the glorious smells of the world! If you're looking for a walking buddy who doesn't mind stopping to investigate every single blade of grass, I'm your girl. I'm also into treat puzzles and brain games - a gal's gotta keep her mind sharp, after all.
I've met some dogs here and wow, I love them! I get super excited to play, and then when it's over, I might throw a little bit of a (loud) tantrum about it. I'm not dramatic, you're dramatic. I'd do great with another playful, social dog in the home, or some regular playdates with neighborhood doggy pals - just be ready to break the news gently when playtime ends. I don't take it well, okay?
My feelings about cats are unknown, so if you've got a feline friend at home, we'll need to go slow. Same with kids - respectful older kids who understand I'm not a fan of being fussed over would be best. I'm more of a "let's hang quietly and vibe" dog than a "let's throw a tea party" kind.
I'm flexible about the kind of home I live in - apartment, house, cabin in the woods, vanlife dream? Sure! As long as you meet my needs for some sniffy walks, mental enrichment, and patience, I'll be happy.
So if you're looking for a chill companion with a serious sniffing habit, a quiet soul who occasionally throws doggy tantrums, and a heart ready to bond to yours - I might just be your Churro.
Let's go on an adventure. I'll bring the nose.
