Bronx is a handsome 3 year old Mastiff, he was underweight when he came in as a stray at the beginning of May. He was 114 lbs and is now a healthy 130lbs.
Sadly Bronx tested POSITIVE for Heartworms. We need help. Heartworm Treatment is expensive on a medium to large dog....but a XXL Dog puts a strain on our resources. We are currently researching the most cost effective and efficient way to proceed with a treatment plan for him.
Like many Mastiffs, Bronx has his share of quirky habits-just part of his irresistible charm. Especially now that has put on some much needed weight and is feeling better his puppiness is coming out in full force! He's seeking a breed-savvy home that understands the unique personality and needs of large guardian breeds. He'd do best in a home with older children, as his sheer size and excitement could be a bit overwhelming for the little ones. He's also looking for a strong, confident caregiver who can continue helping him polish his social skills with other dogs and navigate the world with ease.
Bronx has been neutered, microchipped, tested for heartworm (currently in treatment), brought current on all vaccines, dewormed, and started on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.
