Meet Dave, a very sweet 3-year-old Coonhound mix from a tough start who's now ready for a brighter chapter filled with love, belly rubs, and plenty of playtime. This sweet boy was surrendered along with other dogs when their previous situation couldn't meet their needs, and when Gizmo arrived, he was underweight and pretty filthy. But with a little TLC, some regular meals, and a whole lot of kindness, he's already starting to put on the weight he needs-and his joyful personality is starting to shine through.
Though a bit shy at first, Dave's playful nature quickly shines through once he feels safe. He's got that classic hound enthusiasm-curious sniffs, floppy ears bouncing as he trots around, and a love for play that makes every day feel like a new adventure. He's especially happy when he's around other dogs, and he would do best in a home with a confident canine companion who can help guide him as he adjusts to indoor life.
Dave is still learning the basics of being a house pup, so he'll need a patient and understanding family to help him get the hang of potty training and household routines. He tries his best and wants to please, but everything is still new to him. With time, positive reinforcement, and a consistent routine, Dave will thrive. Having a Canine companion in the home will benefit Dave greatly!!!
This sweet boy brings a mix of youthful energy and gentle shyness that makes him incredibly endearing. He'll need a calm and loving home where he can take things at his own pace, with plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and, most importantly, build trust with his new family.
Dave has been neutered, microchipped and Heartworm tested. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. He has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention.
