Meet Spike, he is an energetic 5-year-old Shepherd mix with a little bit of Butterball Turkey in his lineage. Spike was surrendered along with the other dogs on the property when their owner could no longer properly care for them.
Spike loves people and gets along wonderfully with children. Whether it's enjoying easy walks or lounging in the play yard, Spike thrives when he's around the people he loves. His gentle nature makes him a great addition to a family looking for a dog with a good balance of energy and affection. He's always eager to greet new friends with his wagging tail, ready for a fun time together.
While Spike enjoys spending time with humans, he benefits from slow and careful introductions to other dogs. He has done well with most of the dogs he's met, so with a bit of patience and supervision, he'll settle into a peaceful routine with his new furry companions.
Spike keeps his kennel clean, which means housebreaking should be an easy process as he adjusts to his new environment. He'll need some time to decompress and find his routine, but with patience and consistency, he'll flourish into the happy, well-adjusted pup you're looking for.
Spike was previously Neutered. He is microchipped and Heartworm tested. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. He has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention.
