Valentino is a 7-year-old coonhound with a quiet strength and a heart full of love-just waiting for the right person to share it with. He came from a rough start, found emaciated and in poor shape, and had to have many of his teeth removed. But today, Valentino is healthy, safe, and ready for his second chance.
He's housebroken, crate trained (though he doesn't need one), and gets along beautifully with other dogs. In fact, Valentino prefers having a dog friend around-he lights up when he has a buddy to nap with, play with, or just share space.
With people, he's a bit shy at first. He tends to hang back until he's comfortable-but once he warms up, he'll gently lean in for ear rubs and be right by your side for a quiet afternoon nap. He's not a high-maintenance dog, but he absolutely loves playing with other dogs and will happily join in for a game of chase or a romp in the yard.
